Studded steel T-posts provide good support for both metal hexagrid and polypropylene deer fencing. Those listed below weigh 1.33 pounds per foot and come with a heavy-duty spade to help them grip the ground. One can easily attach deer fencing to these posts with zip-lock ties, using the studs as supports so as to hold the fence up well and prevent sagging.
Nine-foot T-posts are needed to support the full height of seven-foot deer fencing. We offer three types of posts: a non-galvanized black painted T-post (item 09-24), a galvanized T-post (item 09-24A), and a black galvanized post (item 09-24B). The non-galvanized post requires touch-up with rust-proofing paint periodically (but not so much as the angle-iron posts), see items 15-08 and 15-081. The galvanized post stands up well and works perfectly all right, but does not match the black color of the rest of the fence. The painted galvanized posts are both black and rust-proof. All of these posts can be driven into the ground with a manual post driver (item 15-05). (Danger: hands that steady the post must stay out of range of the descending driver.) Corner and end brace kits (items 15-06 and 15-07) look best with round posts but can be used perfectly well with T-post fences.
